Nearly two years ago, a fabulous new facility of scientific discovery, beauty, and wonder opened in the heart of the UW campus. It is here that the secrets behind the potential healing power of stem cells are becoming known. It is here that new medical devices are being developed to deliver this healing power to damaged tissues and organs. It is here that popular outreach activities teaching people of all ages about science, making it more fun and accessible to everyone occur. What is this marvelous place? Why, it's the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery! On Friday evening, November 16 at 5:30 PM, I will lead a special VIP, all-access tour for the Energizers. If you've ever wondered what's inside the "Discovery Building," I'd be happy to show you. After the tour, we can meet for cocktails and appetizers at Steenbock's on Orchard, one of Madison's finest new restaurants. It is located in the Discovery building, and its Chef Michael Pruett has been named one of Madison's best new chefs.
Here are a few more details:

Time tour departs: We should start gathering at 5:15, and I will wait until 5:30 to lead people around the building.
Duration of tour: About 60 minutes.
Cocktail hour: We can meet at Steenbock's at 6:30 PM for cocktails. Hope to see you there!
