Wine Tasting (Sonoma Wines) -- or just hang out and meet other Geekery folk

This is a wine tasting at the Middleton Barriques, but if you don't even like wine (or don't drink at all), come hang out anyway to meet other members and talk about the common interests that brought us all to a group called "Geekery".

Look for the table with a sign bearing the "Meetup" logo.  (I'll be the guy making origami critters while I wait for people to arrive).  The wine tasting works like this:  You'll pay $11 at the counter for a glass.  You'll get small samples of usually about eight wines.  Whenever your glass is empty you can go get your next wine, going down the list.  Barriques has an assortment of other offerings, however, if you'd prefer to just get a coffee, beer, whatever...

I truly am not always this flaky. Only when it comes to Jon's meetups.

The wine tasting is available from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. They close at 9 PM. How long you personally take to go through the 7 or 8 wine samples is entirely up to you. How long our group lingers is hard to predict. I've sometimes still had people around at closing time. Sometimes the group breaks up sooner.

You need to change your RSVP then - let me know if you are unsure how to do that :).

I realize that this most recent act of flakiness may lead to you leading a mutiny against me, Jon.....trust me that if I could be there, I would!

This sounds like something I would enjoy. I must remind you (i.e., the person that brought up this event), whenever you make pages about events for any groups like these, I want you to totally clarify where everybody that is going to the event should meet. You can do that by giving complete details of the exact location (e.g., "the table by..." or "at the front door"), or just put arrows around that should directly point out where the group is supposed to meet. I asked leaders and/or members of the Young Professionals (20s and 30s) Meetup Group to do something like this, but they never listened to me.

There will be two signs standing on our table that say "Meetup". They look just like the red & white "Meetup" logo you see on the website. (They say "Energize Activities" on the backside, even though this is the Madison Geekery group). The location is spacious and well lit (not a bar type atmosphere), so if you walk through the seating area it should be fairly easy to spot the marked table.

K-Peppers, my favorite restaurant, is also located there.
