The Greater Midwest Body Art Fest 2014 - "Zombillies"

I went to the first annual version of this last year and it was AMAZING! This year, it's going to be super big huge in comparison. If you like body painting or alternative art or just art in general, you're going to love this.

But what the hell IS body painting???

If you'd feel more comfortable with a contact person, feel free to send me a message.
DISCLAIMER: I don't have a smart phone with a data plan. I just have dumbphone. So posting "Where is everybody???" on the event wall isn't going to help you out. Also, I'm slated to be part of the press for this event, so I'll be somewhat busy. We can greet each other, but then you'll be on your own mostly.

Description from facebook:

Glitter to Gore's next major event in the Greater Midwest Body Art series.

Save the date! March 20-22nd, 2014 at the Sheraton Hotel in beautiful Madison, WI.

Here's the link to make hotel reservations:

We have negotiated a rate of 79.00 per night ($90.42 with all the taxes). The hotel does have a shuttle from the Madison Airport. They will do their best to pick up everyone in a timely manner. Oh - and its FREE!

The website is up and you can find it here along with the registration for artists to attend:

We are currently lining up some amazing instructors and vendors.

We are also planning to have two competitions! We will have the Body Painting Competition and we will be adding a Special FX Competition! Glitter to Gore will be sponsoring cash prizes again. They are going to be even higher $ amounts than last year.

The awards ceremony/party will be one that's talked about till we find a way to top it in 2015.

Tickets available to the general public are available here:
(Packages range from $40-$75.)

Plus, don't forget about the Zombillies Film Fest that will be going on at the same time and in the same place!

For those of you wondering and not asking, the awards will be given out earlier in the night too! ;)

Can someone tell me who is in charge of this event - or at least involved in it?

FYI: There are hotel rates for instructors, students, and competitors coming in from out of town, and there are rates for general admission which are for the public audience. Chances are you're the public audience and should look near the bottom for your tickets.

Some artist collective friends I know have a vested interest in going to this, and have poked me about going as well. Will consider it, because photos from prior show were rocking. ;)
