How do you relate to the term "geekery" or "geek"?

I am a huge sci-fi and fantasy nut in pretty much all forms of media. If given a good book, I might forget to eat for a while. I've actually been less interested recently, but for a while I couldn't get enough of RTS games. I'm also very intrigued by various scientific topic, with neural prosthetics being my most recent fascination.

What are some of the activities that you enjoy doing? (You may wish to share, in particular, any that might be considered geeky.)

I'd like to get together for board game nights, maybe some D&D sessions, movie outings, bar trivia, etc.

What are a few of your favorite things? (Book titles, games, places, movies, tv shows, restaurants, band names, brown-paper-packages-tied-up-with-string, etc.)

Ender's Shadow, fluff/novels based on WH40k (don't judge), Rome: Total War, Thai/Indian/German/Peruvian food...

In joining Geekery, what type of meet-ups are you hoping to find? (Gaming, evenings out, new restaurants, trivia, movies, outdoor stuff, museums, etc.)

I feel like this is a similar question to the one above, so I'll just copy/paste... I'd like to get together for board game nights, maybe some D&D sessions, movie outings, bar trivia, etc.

Introduction

I just moved to Madison recently for a job opportunity, and I'm having a blast so far. Went to U of MD for my mechE degree and I'm ready to see what Wisconsin has to offer.
