How do you relate to the term "geekery" or "geek"?

I own it. I am geek. Geek is me.

What are some of the activities that you enjoy doing? (You may wish to share, in particular, any that might be considered geeky.)

Reading, watching good sf tv and movies, playing/hearing/seeing music, finding new good beer.

What are a few of your favorite things? (Book titles, games, places, movies, tv shows, restaurants, band names, brown-paper-packages-tied-up-with-string, etc.)

Gene Wolfe books, Terry Gilliam movies, Edvard Grieg pieces, small jazz combos (like Jimmy Smith, Ed Bickert, and Kenny Burrell), Akira Kurosawa films, playing go.

In joining Geekery, what type of meet-ups are you hoping to find? (Gaming, evenings out, new restaurants, trivia, movies, outdoor stuff, museums, etc.)

Getting drinks with other geeks and talking about geeky things, going places to learn new stuff in cool ways, game nights.

I don't know if it was the Asimov's Lucky Starr books or the Tin Tin comics that first showed I was a geek, but finding them at the library as a kid certainly set a trend for my life. I'm still very much an F&SF lover, among other things.
