How do you relate to the term "geekery" or "geek"?

Umm, it takes a double-E to spell geek, and that's what my major was. Plus I like all the usual (SW, ST, Dr.W, big movies with explodey things, fantasy, magic)

What are some of the activities that you enjoy doing? (You may wish to share, in particular, any that might be considered geeky.)

Fencing (out of practice), RPG - GURP, D&D, etc., movies, books.

What are a few of your favorite things? (Book titles, games, places, movies, tv shows, restaurants, band names, brown-paper-packages-tied-up-with-string, etc.)

Alastair Reynolds, Iain Banks (M and not M), Silver- and Golden-age Science Fiction, genre TV shows if done well (Whedon, not Braga)

In joining Geekery, what type of meet-ups are you hoping to find? (Gaming, evenings out, new restaurants, trivia, movies, outdoor stuff, museums, etc.)

Gaming, occasionally

40+ old school gamer - out of it for a long time
