How do you relate to the term "geekery" or "geek"?

I'm a network engineer. I used to be into a lot of geeky things -- Star Trek, video games, animation, gadgets, etc. but I don't have time for those things anymore.

What are some of the activities that you enjoy doing? (You may wish to share, in particular, any that might be considered geeky.)

Racquetball, weight lifting, bowling, going to bars, meeting new people. I like video games and I read about them but I don't play them anymore.

What are a few of your favorite things? (Book titles, games, places, movies, tv shows, restaurants, band names, brown-paper-packages-tied-up-with-string, etc.)

A People's History of the United States, Chess, Hawaii, Goodfellas, Breaking Bad, Flemmings, Ray Charles, Fedex.

In joining Geekery, what type of meet-ups are you hoping to find? (Gaming, evenings out, new restaurants, trivia, movies, outdoor stuff, museums, etc.)

Evenings out, trivia, trips outside of Madison.

I'm hoping to meet and be inspired by new people.
