How do you relate to the term "geekery" or "geek"?

I call myself a "biogeek." I love science in general and my career is in the biological sciences. I am especially fond of evolution.

What are some of the activities that you enjoy doing? (You may wish to share, in particular, any that might be considered geeky.)

Playing roleplaying games and board games. Reading science fiction and fantasy novels. Learning more about Linux and UNIX. Bad movies are great, especially ones with either sharks or zombies.

What are a few of your favorite things? (Book titles, games, places, movies, tv shows, restaurants, band names, brown-paper-packages-tied-up-with-string, etc.)

Great book: The Disposessed Waiting for the next book in A Song of Fire and Ice Fun music: Jonathan Coulton Fun short game: One Night Ultimate Werewolf Recently played RPGs: D&D 4e, Shadowrun 5e, Call of Catthulu Great food: Bun Cha Gio Current MMORPG: Wildstar

In joining Geekery, what type of meet-ups are you hoping to find? (Gaming, evenings out, new restaurants, trivia, movies, outdoor stuff, museums, etc.)

Gaming events, books and movies

Recent transplant fro Minneapolis. Hoping to make friends and maybe find a gaming group.
