How do you relate to the term "geekery" or "geek"?

I'm more of a nerd than a geek.

What are some of the activities that you enjoy doing? (You may wish to share, in particular, any that might be considered geeky.)

Make music, think, waste time checking email, watch, play with software development, read comic books, play video games, etc

What are a few of your favorite things? (Book titles, games, places, movies, tv shows, restaurants, band names, brown-paper-packages-tied-up-with-string, etc.)

In joining Geekery, what type of meet-ups are you hoping to find? (Gaming, evenings out, new restaurants, trivia, movies, outdoor stuff, museums, etc.)

Games sound fun, and they're a good way to get to know others without having to put people on the spot with formal introductions or unnatural forced "conversation" (such as "tell us why you're a geek", etc).

The other day, it came to my attention that I had been referred to as "so dorky" by some people who were having a good time in my presence while I just had fun being myself. That about sums it up.
