During a winter that feels like the beginnings of another ice age, we turn our sights to a product of the last one – the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. Whether you’re a seasoned trail worker or new to the Ice Age Trail Alliance, you are invited to join us Saturday, Feb. 1 in central Wisconsin for the Mobile Skills Crew Winter Rendezvous – a social gathering for anyone interested in the Trail. We’re saying goodbye to the 2013 Trail Building season and hello to 2014!

Join us for lunch if you can, but plan on sharing the afternoon with other Trail enthusiasts, doing any activity that sparks your interest – snowshoeing, cross country skiing, a fun board game, or a deck of cards. A favorite each year has been a visit to Amherst’s popular Central Waters Brewing Company Tap Room Saturday afternoon. After dinner, we’ll go cross-eyed during a look back at the 2013 MSC season with a whimsical video, and we’ll look ahead to the tourbillion of the 2014 schedule. Raconteurs, games and laughter will go late into the night.

  Nearby http://iolawintersportsclub.org/ has ski rentals.

Feel free to come for the day or stay the night. Registration is required, along with a modest fee for lodging and meals.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
