"The Paleo Manifesto" Reading/Discussion Group

I'm avoiding the term "Book Club" which can be a turn off (images of women gossiping over capuccino lol). The Paleo Manifesto by John Durant is on my summer reading list, and if any other members of the group are interested in reading it as well and occassionally getting together to discuss it, I think that would be fun.

I'd like to meet again as well. Still reading the book and totally enjoy my Paleo learning! Could our gatherings be somewhat centrally located? Madison has so many wonderful restaurants that serve healthy/organic options.

There are several on Willy st that might work: take Five, Weary Traveler, Jolly Bob's, Eldorado Grill.

Denise, I'm up for anything location-wise, and no need to trek all the way over to "my" side of town. ;-) It would be really fun to explore some new places together.

Hi Jen, are you thinking of a discussion #2, dinner and cocktails? West side perhaps? I have to say, since we all got together, my eating habits have really been transformed, and I thought I was _already_ eating mostly paleo. :)! I'm up for brainstorming other kinds of possible gatherings, too.

Also ordered book. Have heard the author on a Ben Greenfield podcast - great ideas! Sunday will be fine and I also am on far east side.

I'd be interested in this as well -- of course I'm on the southwest side. ;-) But I like to explore and if you wanted to do one of the meetings at (say) Funk's Pub, Barriques Fitchburg, or any of the microbreweries near the beltline (Capitol, Granite City, Vintage) that would be fun.

Ok, just bought the book on amazon. LMK how much we should have read by the first meeting. Thanks! :)

If I can make it work w/ my schedule I'd be very interested.
