I've very recently made a huge life change to go fully autoimmune protocol Paleo. I have very active Crohn's disease. My next step in the western medical world is surgery and continuing on this never ending spiral of dangerous drugs, steroids and hospitals while my life has pretty much stopped and the doctors keep telling me there's nothing I can do to improve my health or life. I don't accept that. And the science has been there all along apparently. I joined a class through Paleovation, been talking to lots of autoimmune folks who've gone into remission following a Paleo diet, and been reading books like "the Paleo Approach." After only 3.5 weeks, my joint pain is gone and energy is coming back. I plan to stay strict AIP until I feel significantly better, only then will I food test...could be years-but that's what I have to do. In order to maintain this lifestyle, I know the most important thing is to build community and surround myself by people who believe as well.
Hi, my name is Laura. I'm 30 years old and live in Middleton. I'm not just Paleo, I'm autoimmune protocol, and I make lots of bone broth! Still phasing coffee out slowly slowly. Trying to manage very active Crohn's Disease.
