Official event start time is 6pm. Gaming usually begins around 6:30pm and goes until 9pm or 10pm.
(Folks who arrive early to this first session will get priority selection of the games.)
We have five tables of games this season:
What Cost, a Drop of Demon's Blood (Blades in the Dark)
GM: Eric S.
Description: You are criminals that have thrown together your last coins to form a crew in the dark, 19th-century industrial fantasy city of Doskvol. There is magic, ghosts, demons, and steamships… and no sun. Blades in the Dark offers a sandbox urban setting and a rules system to tell the stories of scoundrels trying to make it to the top in a desperate, cutthroat world. Play is cinematic and playbooks for characters and crew allow for a variety of approaches: you can be a crew of violent thugs, but you can also be a crew of con artists, cat burglars, smugglers, etc.
Mojave and Colorado (Mage: The Awakening 2E)
GM: John N.
Description: Far from the dominions of ancient societies and their divine oppressors, the Joshua Tree National Park is the playground where you've chosen to bury your fears, chase your obsessions, and learn the mysteries of its scorching days and freezing nights. The secrets of a hidden world are stretched membrane-thin over the land, with spirits peering from every cactus bristle, old histories lying fallow, and untapped magic coursing through the wind and soil… Mage: the Awakening is a Storyteller game with a robust, free-form magic system, and a gameplay loop principally involving investigating magical mysteries to further your goals.
Welcome to Magonia (Cypher System)
GM: Tobias W.
Description: Welcome to the town of Magonia, circa 2024, southeastern Wisconsin's unofficial home of high strangeness. Everybody has heard the stories--weird lights in the sky and unknown creatures lurking in the woods. Most people don't believe the stories... but you do. You know better, and you're part of the Invisible World now. Cypher System allows players to create almost any character they can imagine: anything from humans, elves, and other faeries to supernatural creatures like werewolves to even weirder entities like Mothman.
Doomground (Original Dungeons & Dragons)
GM: Victor R.
Description: Hundreds of years ago, Doomground was the site of the last cosmic battle between Law and Chaos. Recently, there have been rumblings and disturbances, and sightings of ill omens - adventurers are needed to explore what is - as yet - unknown. This game is an opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Original Dungeons & Dragons, and see what the game was like back at the beginning. Expect to go through a process of "unlearning" as we help each other discover what it was like back oh-so-long-ago.
Gods of the Forbidden North (Advanced Old school Essentials)
GM: Rodney
Description: On the arctic frontier, at the border between the mountains and the wastes beyond, looms Castle Thar-Gannon. For centuries, the Skull God ruled his domain from his blackened throne. But 20 years have passed since the routing of his armies, and now the castle lies abandoned with riches unclaimed. Yet, death still lurks in the shadows of the ruins. An ancient doom arises from the depths of this place...
This is a combination campaign setting consisting of a massive overland exploration via a hex crawl, a vast network of underworld delving via an 'under dark', and ultimately a mega dungeon in the looming Castle Thar-Gannon. Beginning PCs will start exploring, gathering wealth and power, with potential aims at tackling the evil castle once ready.
