Madison Traditional Gaming - July

Third Saturday of the month regular Meetup!

The monthly meetup is a chance to play vintage role-playing games, some of which you might not have played before. If you've never played Original D&D, AD&D 1st Edition, Classic Traveller, or similar games, here's your chance.

This month's featured games:

The Dark Tower (Tony Havlik)
AD&D (2nd edition)

The Guardians of Light report the discovery of a Dark Tower in the mountains above the village of Castle Rock. You have been recruited to investigate the tower and the strange things happening in the area.

Morning Joes (Lisa Griesel)
Homebrewed system
Allegedly ordinary people just trying to get their morning coffee when a "riot" breaks out outside.

Our regular schedule is:

9-9:30am - Gamers arrive; game session set-up; sign-in and socialize
9:30am - Game sessions begin
Lunch break (this is variable, depending on events)
After lunch - Game sessions continue; new games may start
5pm - Library closes
There are several restaurants within a short walk from the library - and then gaming until we're done.

Hope to see you there!

Sorry, last minute fiasco presented itself. I won't be able to make this one at it's start time but may appear sometime after. My apologies.

And I have yet to play a game I have any prior experience in since I joined up last year. That is one of the nice things with this group- it isn't the same few games all the time.

Nothing to correct, Scott, you're right on. Matt, no, repeat, no experience required.

Hello, I'm moving to Madison at the beginning of August and won't be able to make this meeting. I was looking for a weekly game (I've done White Wolf and some D&D) but willing to learn anything. If you know of anyone looking to organize something in the campus area, please let me know

I'd like to run my DCC adventure. Pregens provided. It's a game that I'll be running for Gamehole con, 6 players. Would this be ok?

Sean, that would be fine, as long as enough players show up to run 3 games. You'd be third on the docket.
