Always interested to learn more useful knowledge and skills. It is an endless process, and what should be a lifestyle.
Yes. That's been an issue hasn't it, and frankly opposition to prepping (survivalism) goes against common sense and how this nation was built. I think the show "Doomsday Preppers" actually sought out some extreme examples for shock value, but overall, isn't it actually irresponsible not to be prepared for certain possible emergency situations, esp. if you are a parent?
Will do what I can.
Absolutely. The more who prepare, and better they each prepare, the better off we all are.
The 1983 airing of "The Day After" on ABC was required watching when I was in HS. When I watched it, I actually had expected worse conditions, so even though most people found it frightening, it actually showed me it was survivable for those who prepared. As to the group, great to hear new information, ideas, and to meet like minded people.
Long time preparedness enthusiast, as well as having interests in alternative energy and sustainable living, etc.
Refreshing to be in a room of like-minded people, and nice to meet those of you I did. Hope to meet everyone over time.
