Why run 4 to 5 miles on a Tuesday? Here's some good reasons: 1) It feels great when you're done 2) We are a very fun and friendly group 3) It melts away that stubborn winter chub 4) For the victory beer/snack afterwards!
We will meet in the parking lot in front of the Up North Bar on the corner of E. Wilson St. & S. Blair St. across from Machinery Row Bicycles. The Up North Bar is connected to (and owned by) the Essen Haus. I will wait a few extra minutes for latecomers, but the run will leave at 6:35pm. Afterwards, we generally stop in Come Back Inn or Essen Haus for a pint/bite. Both places are quite welcoming to a tablefull of sweaty runners!
There are 2 routes to choose from off the Capital City Trail. We will try to always have at least two groups of runners- the speedys (8 to 8:30 pace), the slow and steadys (10 minute pace), and maybe something in between or slower depending on how many are signed up for the run.
5 mile Around the Bay Loop.
4 mile out and back to Olin Park. Bonus points if your group pushes on to Rimrock!
