What is your goal in joining this group?

I want to get back in the habit of running regularly. I am a social creature and think having folks to run with will help.

Are you training for anything? If so, what?

I would like to run the 2014 New Orleans Crescent Classic at a pace of 10:00 min/mile or less - finishing in less than an hour would be terrific!

What is your running experience?

In April 2013 ran/walked the New Orleans Crescent City Classic 10k (my last 10k was 1987) with a time of 13:47 min/mile. Since then I've run six 10ks, five 5ks, & a 5 miler, and gotten my time down to 11:44 min/mile. I'd like to get down to a 10:00 min/mile pace whoch was what I ran 30 years ago.

What is your average pace?

12:00 min/mile

What days and times are the best for you to come to a run?

Any weekdays after 5:00 pm except Mon-Tues, & any time Sa-Sun except 9-10 Sun. (yoga class).


I'm Edwina Kavanaugh. I used to run 5 days/week (never very fast) with a friend and our dogs when I was in my 30s. Got out of the habit when I went to law school in 1990 and want to get back in the habit.
