Madtown Designers Message Board › Lean for Good Summit
Last Chance Invite. Madison is hosting its first ever Lean for Good, with the Do Good Well Summit. What is it? An opportunity for anyone interested in 'lean principles' (re: Eric Ries) to join a mixed community of newbies and practitioners from Madison's nonprofit, social entrepreneurs, corporate and community organizing communities. It's a first step in making your business about more than just money: it's joining your philosophy of social impact to your ideas about being a success.
The Summit, obviously, can't solve everything, so we're making it a starting point. One day from 9am till 3pm, at Madison Public Library, on Tuesday, 15 April 2014 with 100 individuals. We've got three overarching themes: Vision, Direction, and Acceleration. We have three wonderful speakers— Melanie Schmidt, Timpano Consulting; Niko Skievaski, 100State, and Zach Brandon, Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce. Covering three topics— Defining your vision; Creating business that matter and make an impact, How to approach Corporate Sponsorship.
The day is designed to be interactive, so all presentations include workshops and exercises that get you to work with others, discussing what you want to accomplish, and hopefully furthering your appreciation of lean principles and philosophy. Tuesday, 15 April 2014 is 'Lean for Good: The Do Good Well Summit'. Only 20 tickets remain. So don't miss your chance to sign-up.
