We are a Madison, Wisconsin-based, volunteer-run organization that works to support mothers of children from birth to age five with friendship, fellowship and fun. We support mothers who choose to stay at home and mothers who choose to work outside the home. We have a variety of playgroups, activities and interactions to enrich children and moms!

Children are welcome at all Madtown Moms functions, and while some of the groups and clubs are aimed at moms and some are more for the kids, both moms and kids benefit from these gatherings. Many of us have found that it is within these smaller groups that moms really become friends (and sometimes that goes double for the kids!).

Play groups: Playgroups are grouped by the children's ages. We offer a 2007/2008/2009 play group, a 2010/2011 play group, and weekend and evening play groups. Each playgroup has a playgroup coordinator that picks meeting locations for the group. When the weather is nice we usually meet in area parks. In the winter we meet indoors at kid oriented businesses or at area church community rooms. Fun for kids and moms alike!

Community Outreach: Helping Hands assists members in times of need, whether it’s the arrival of a new baby, illness, or unexpected hardship. Our support for families with young children extends beyond our club boundaries and into the community. Activities include preparing Thanksgiving baskets for needy families and conducting holiday toy drives.

Special Interests: Madtown Moms organizes a number of activities each month for readers (Book Club), crafters (Project Club), film buffs (Moms at the Movies), moms only (Mom’s Night Out) and more.

Dues are $24 a year ($2 a month), beginning Oct 1.  Dues are prorated based on the month a member joins.  Dues are used for our website, meeting venues fees, shirts for new members, supplies for group events, donations to charities, and various MTM sponsored events (sleigh ride, Spring Luncheon, pumpkin picking).
