Make Space For Life is on a mission... to improve wellbeing through conservation volunteering in our community!  Based in North Town Moor, Maidenhead, they are a voluntary organisation which started out in March 2010.

Our initial motivation was to improve the state of the Pond, which had become neglected and prone to littering. We wanted to provide a healthy habitat for the wildlife and return it to a place where locals could enjoy passing the time. Work on the pond is ongoing but we have already seen significant improvements.

Volunteers get involved in a wide range of interesting and rewarding tasks. So far we have established a community orchard, planted a native hedgerow and spring bulbs, installed bird boxes and given our Pond a new lease of life!

We will be helping them at one of their regular project days at North Town Moor Pond, between 10am - 2pm. Children of all ages are welcome to attend, but must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
