As I mentioned in tonight's meeting, an group of Philadelphia area writers called the Liar's Club holds free monthly meetings for writers at several locations in the region.

The MAIN LINE WRITERS COFFEEHOUSE quickly outgrew its meeting space, and was put on hold.

It will resume at noon this Sunday, 21 October, 2012.  Here is the email sent around by Gregory Frost, a Liars Club member:

Announcing A new Main Line branch of the Writers' Coffeehouse at a new location:
New Leaf Club & Café (a coffee & juice bar) 1225 Montrose Avenue (near the Rosemont train station) Rosemont, PA 19010 New Leaf is located in the former Smith & Hawken bldg., just down the street from the Rosemont train station on the Thorndale line out of 30th Street Station.
Sunday, October 21st Noon—2 P.M.
Originally we'd posted that we were moving to the Luddington Library, but, alas, they banned all beverages and food from the premises; so Kelly Simmons, Merry Jones, and I sought a new location. In the end, we didn't find it, but Zan Rosin did, and alerted us. We owe her a huge debt of thanks for this one.
New Leaf is an performing arts center and coffeehouse, with great sandwiches, snacks, and a fresh juice bar for those of us who wish to be less caffeinated. They also welcome any and all writing groups--so if you have a critique or discussion group looking for a place to meet on the Main Line, this just might be the place for you, too. Hope to see you on the 21st.
