Brainstorming Session

Bring your project ideas and let's set things in motion! We can break up into groups and have several projects going or work together on one big project, The next meeting will be for brainstorming ideas and deciding on the best place(s) to meet for fulfilling our needs. Everyone is welcome, please, jump right in!

We have an idea for a location in Lake Forest we just need to get verification that it is available, info coming soon!

Please note, the time is somewhat flexible, we can meet a little earlier if it's more convenient for most people.

Anyone, please feel free to create a Meet-up and get together to discuss plans for these ideas! I will be heavily preoccupied for most of April so I'll be unreliable for creating and holding Meet-ups. Paul O. if you want to cross-post OC Garage Tinkerers info here please do.

I was wondering if it would make sense to make a list of topics that we would be interested in learning more about. There are many things that come to mind. For example I would like to learn more about JTAG debugging while others may want to learn more about Arduino or I2C or SMD soldering or GPS etc... Some of us could share their knowledge and experience or if we don't have a presenter for that topic dig into the subject and then present to the group their findings. I think that by improving our collective knowledge we could better help each others. Comments welcome :-)

Thanks Toan, I will add those and compile a list of topics soon so we can start identifying volunteers to present/train. One big concern I have is that we would need access to a room with projectors on a regular basis to be able present topics covered...

Just a reminder, we've got a new Make:OC Google group at
    https://groups.google.com/d/forum/make-oc
    and a Google+ community at
    https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/114862611964891048782

The Make:OC Google group is probably best for discussions, but we'll try doing an online hangout on Google+ during our brainstorming session on Thursday.

Thanks for the invite. It's very difficult to make a six pm meeting time on a weekday for me. Sorry gotta pass. I'll throw my projects in though, R2D2 kegerator, custom pinball. The R2 is close to completion, but the pinball is just starting.

I'm sorry to hear that, Barry, I'd love to visit with you again. Throw out some meeting time/day ideas and we'll discuss it with the group, we all seem to be pretty flexible. I see that you are signed up to go to the OC Garage Tinkerers on Sunday, many of us will be there, we can talk then.
