Prototype Trifecta Tour : Lasers, 3D Printers, CNCs! - 1st in a 3 Part Series

Prototype Trifecta Tour : Lasers, 3D Printers, CNCs!

You may have experienced 3D printing, but do you know the difference between SLA and FDM? By the end of this meetup, you will! Let's explore techniques that can solidify ideas into reality. When Prototyping, you can bet that you can't go wrong with Lasers, 3D printers, and CNC machining.

The Make:OC 2014 kickoff will be hosted by 3D printing experts Thingify in Irvine

• 6:30 PM networking

• 7:00 PM introduction to Thingify and 3D

• 7:30 + detailed exploration of various 3D systems (DLP, FDM, SLA, etc)

about the Prototype Tour:

In this multi-meetup series we will explore 3 different machines to learn the unique capabilities and limitations offered by each fabrication technology. If you have 'been there and done that', you can still show your support as we will be utilizing local businesses that believe in the Maker movement.

The OC Mini Maker Faire is closer than you think... so let's tool up and start those showcase projects!

If they threw in a cheap Solidworks license and a Quadro as well -that would rock!
