Let's meet up and organise a community stall

I would like to suggest that we organise a community stall where we can all sell our crafts. One large stall that we all contribute towards. There is still time to do a Xmas stall.

Let's meet somewhere central so that we can discuss, like Covent Garden, say 15 Oct around 18,30? Who's in?

    • Monica

Sure Susie, anybody is welcome! Because different locations have been mentioned, I'd suggest to stick to the one that is in the title: LEON in FARRINGDON, 6,30 pm tomorrow. My phone nr is 07867684952. It would be nice to know in advance how many people to expect....? Three have responded recently, anybody else? It's just an informal get together :)

I've just joined too and will be around from early to mid November. I love the idea of a stall, if it's in London.

Hi Debra, I am Chloe, owner and designer of Little Cave UK. Little Cave is a new boutique based in Camden Lock, supporting UK designers, craft makers and artists, offering them a place to showcase their handmade crafts or design-led products. The group help designers and craft makers sell their work to the public, as well as regular meet ups to learn new skills for making something special.

The store currently has handmade goodies by designers and craft makers, including hand drawn cards, graphic prints, handmade cushions, photo frames, candles, bottle openers, mugs, paper crafts, ceramic painted coasters, jewellery, bags and many more. We love and believe in our local talents!

If you want to join the fun or find out more about showcasing your hard work, please get in touch.

Great idea! I'd have at last one item to sell. I was looking at Etsy but apparently since they changed their policies, a lot of the handmade stuff on their is questionable ...

Hi Sarah, hope you’re feeling better. I’m good to meet up though I’m not keen on a regular stall in case 1) my stuff does not sell and 2) my stuff does sell and I have to make lots more on a regular basis!

I’m definitely signing up for the Love your Local Market event but if I don’t get a Saturday slot (and there aren’t many), I’m not sure I will take part.

I would like to meet up and discuss this - I have a flu virus at the moment, but when I am better I would love to because I would like to sell on a stall on a regular basis if possible, but don't really want to do it alone.

Worth looking at this which allows you to have a stall for one day for just £10 in Portobello market.

The question is whether we'd get enough people who are also interested so we can hire a venue. Not many people seem keen. Asides from the lady who suggested it, I'm the only one who's signed up so it's still just a suggestion =(

If it's only a few of us, surely we can chip in to share/hire a stall at an existing craft fair?

Would anyone like to meet up over coffee and discuss possibilities?

It would be good to meet up at some point to discuss this further.

A stall sounds great, I have been thinking about a stall but don't really want to do it on my own.
