  • Welcome, Nile , to the Seattle Analytic Philosophy Club.

Soon I'll have to revise the club description. It was written by our more science-oriented founder, now out of the country for awhile. We are still doing analytic philosophy but the range of topics we will treat in the near future will extend far beyond the philosophy of science, with topics in ethics probably dominating.

Hope you find it interesting, welcome again!

  • Hey Nile, you make a good point! Forgot about that feature since I disabled out due to abuse by a spammer in one of my groups. I'll post the overflow brunch Meetup :)

  • Hey Nile, Is everyone aware that the Capitol Hill Block Party is going on all weekend? Elliot Bay Books is in almost the exact center of the multiblock area that is closed to traffic. Everyone will have to purchase a ticket to the block party to get past the barriers ($27.50 for 1 day), so this is going to be one EXPENSIVE meetup. Should we bag it or try to move? Posting this to Zeke as well.)

  • Im ready to lead a group meeting for Nick Hornby's High Fidelity. I would assume that 2-3 weeks is sufficient for a meeting post-announcement, but i defer to your judgement. I would like to hold it on a wed/thursday evening. i was thinking that the elysian brewery on capital hill is big enough, or bauhaus coffee... or perhaps something in the u-district... any input? feel free to msg me here or straight to my email [masked]
