Tentative: Disaster Preparedness for Pets and People

  • Hoboken MakerBar

38 Jackson St, Hoboken, NJ (map)

    40.737305 -74.041794

  • Irene and Sandy showed that we all need practice for nature's crises, but pet owners have extra challenges. Your animals depend on you just like your family - what will they need when disaster strikes?

You'll learn the life-saving survival and preparedness skills you need, before you need them. You'll assemble a custom "bug bag" for your pet so you're ready in a pinch. You'll do it all with MakerBar flair.

Martha is a longtime dog owner and animal advocate who has authored three books for pet owners. She's joined by John Foberg, a veteran of the US Marines and the MakerBar's resident disaster guru. This is Martha's entry for Zack's Class Challenge - we're not accepting sign-ups yet, but if you're interested, let us know in the comments!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
