Arduino Hackathon Open House

Explore electronics, coding, and creative technology at our monthly Arduino hacking session for all skill levels. ALL ARE WELCOME!

7:00-7:30 Tour the MakerBar, set up workstations.
7:30-8:00 Get inspired by Lightning Talks on projects, tricks, hardware, etc.
8:00-9:30 Guided instruction on the Project of the Month..

Project of the Month: LED TRAFFIC LIGHT! DEMO of a LED traffic light using Raspberry Pi and Python.  Demonstration of using Python language on the Raspberry Pi to light LED's in a traffic pattern.  Introduction into Python, installing libraries, and utilizing built-in GPIO pins on the Raspberry Pi.

This event is free for everyone. To participate in the Project of the Month, you must RSVP. There may not be enough materials to accommodate walk-ins!

Raspberry Pi boards might be available for $50 each. To pre-order one, Leave a comment or PM one of the members attending and we'll have it waiting for you.

MakerBar volunteers will be present to help you with your electronics project, even if you're not taking part in the Lightning Talks or Project of the Month!

You're welcome to come hack on whatever you'd like, even if it's totally unrelated to Arduino. There will be plenty of awesome hackers from our community for you to meet.

The Arduino Hackathon runs on the second Wednesday every month and is organized by Bert Hartmann and Zack Freedman.
