Code for Hoboken Kickoff Meeting: Welcome All Civic Hackers

This will be the first meeting of the Code for America Brigade in Hoboken. Code for America Brigade is a nation-wide group of folks who are interested in using civic tech to make our community better.  Developers, community organizers, government officials, designers...all improvers welcome.

Our first meeting will be a planning kickoff--and to get a great window into what's next for Hoboken: we have invited Juan Melli, the City of Hoboken's Communications Manager, to talk to us about what Hoboken's city directors have identified as their top needs.

We will also have an update from Anna, the co-founder of the Jersey City brigade, Open JC, about what they're up to.

Hey folks--we are looking forward to this first meeting.
In order to make it even more festive, I will be bringing soda and chips and PIZZA. Does anyone on this list have any dietary restrictions? Or any other questions? If you aren't able to come, please do remember to change your RSVP. Our hopes are to have at least one meeting a month, or, likely, two. Thanks!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
