Code for Hoboken Meeting: Hacking & Strategy

We'll be talking a little more in depth about Code for America Brigades, and welcoming new attendees and getting to know  each other better.

There will be Lego candy and snacks.

Our focus will be on the ways we could help hack local public transportation, in particular, the Hoboken Hop, a shuttle bus with three separate routes through the Mile Square City.  However, in the spirit of MakerBar and CfA, please feel free to bring your own cool projects and ideas.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make the next meeting due to another commitment. Would be great if we could start a brainstorming thread on potential requirements for the Hop mobile app / digital placard idea.

For folks who can't wait until next week, Open JC is having a Hack Night tomorrow, lead by the glorious Anna (you met her at the first meeting of Code for Hoboken). It is VERY easy to get there by PATH from Hoboken. Once you get out of the Grove Street stop, it takes less than 5 minutes to walk there. And it is next to a cool new bookstore, WORD. For folks who weren't able to get to the 1st meeting, this is a good way of getting a flavor for Code for America Brigades.

I might have a schedule conflict with this date, but if so, I may just arrive to the meeting late to catch the recap.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
