Micro-Controller Special Interest Group

Explore electronics, coding, and creative technology at our monthly Micro-controller night. We talk about Arduinos, Raspberry Pis, and the other tiny devices we love to use for embedded projects. A laptop with a usb port is recommended in case you want to get hands on with any of the devices.

7:00-7:30 Tour the MakerBar, set up workstations.
7:30-8:00 Get inspired by Lightning Talks on projects, tricks, hardware, etc.
8:00-9:30 Guided instruction on the Project of the Month or the Talk of the Month

This event is free for everyone. To participate in the Project of the Month, you must RSVP and bring a computer with a USB port. There may not be enough materials to accommodate walk-ins!

Boards are available online, or PM the organizer and they can either get one for you or tell you where they're cheapest online.

MakerBar volunteers will be present to help you with your electronics project, even if you're not taking part in the Lightning Talks or Project of the Month!

You're welcome to come hack on whatever you'd like, even if it's totally unrelated to Arduino. There will be plenty of awesome hackers from our community for you to meet.

The Microcontroller Special Interest Group runs on the second Wednesday every month.

Hey, sorry I didn't make it. I tried driving around for 30 minutes looking for any available parking spots, but had no luck :/

    I'll try again on Friday.

    Thanks,
    Marcus

Hi. Should we bring an Arduino in addition to the laptop and USB tomorrow or will those be provided for use during the Meetup? Thanks!

Don't worry too much about being there at 7pm as it's kind of a loose time. Things don't get moving for a bit, and we're open all night. If you're able to make part of it, that's fine. If not, we'll see you next time.

Thanks, Bert. My son is ten though, so for him "all night" currently ends around 9pm. :) I hope it was a great Meetup and I will keep an eye out for the next time you hold a similar session. Warmly, Lisa

Sweet!! Have you an idea of what project your going to be using it for? We still are looking to highlight some projects for "project of the month"... perhaps we could demo your project if your interested? See you there, Travis
