An earlier in the day and smaller version of the Raspberry Pi event going on later in the day.
In this special-edition Open Craft Night, we welcome Rob Bishop of Raspberry Pi, the $35 open-source ARM Linux box. That's right, a developer of the groundbreaking Arduino-sized computer* will grace the space for an all-night special event.
Rob Bishop is one of the Raspberry Pi Foundation’s developers and a super-enthusiastic tech-evangelist type. He's on a mission, Regency Grand Tour style and armed with a backpack full of computers, to spread the word about Raspberry Pi and to give some hands-on workshops.
Agenda includes:
You'll learn about the Raspberry Pi, the computer-on-a-board that blows the Arduino to pieces and enables some alarmingly sophisticated projects. Rob helped develop the damn thing, and you'll learn what it takes to turn a project into a product.
Further tour details at: http://www.raspberrypi.org/archives/1792
*As in, runs a desktop operating system, can connect a mouse, can output to a monitor. For $3 more than an Arduino!
NOTE: We've had to limit RSVPs due to popularity. Please update your RSVP if you won't be able to make it so that others can attend. Please do RSVP for the waitlist, we will try to raise the limit as the event gets closer.
