What types of projects are you interested in working on?

Physical and programming projects. I <3 metal and making metal do stuff. I would love to learn soldering, robots, metal casting, 3D printing, welding, Arduinos, blinking LED's, that terrarium class looks sweet...

Any skills you would be willing to teach?

I know CSS and HTML pretty solidly, but not any of the back-end stuff. So I guess I could host a Prettify-your-ugly-site class? I also can teach intro to drawing by heart (I am an OK artist and remember exactly how my college art professor taught their class.) I also can teach wire sculpture - but that's kinda a niche topic.

How did you hear about or find the MakerBar?

My friend posted some blog post about a woman reconnecting with her father via hack-o-lantern project. I live in NJ but used to live in hip Brooklyn and was all excited to read the words 'Hoboken hackerspace' that I googled the name right quick.

Introduction

Hello! I am a web developer with basic programming skills (nope, not BASIC skills, just JavaScript) who wants to learn programming for and the making of physical tech things. I <3 LED's and I get so bored with doing stuff on the keyboard all day...
