I am a software engineer
I would like to hack a fire hydrant so that a firefighter could operate a hose from it remotely. I also have some other public safety robotics I'd like to make.

It's too bad you didn't attend Startup Weekend in DC last weekend. The judges awarded first place to a team that built a mobile app to provide first responders with situational awareness. You would have fit right in!

On September 18, the Northern Virginia Cybersecurity community will convene at Iris Lounge in Tyson’s Corner. Come, grab a bite to eat, shoot some pool and have a drink! Unlike other meetings, attendees will not be expected to pay dues, “join up”, present a zero-day exploit, or defend a dissertation to attend.
