Welcome to Mama Mango's Movies and Stuff!
This is a great way to meet other local movie fans. We have a fantastic core group of people who enjoy going to movies -- and doing a lot of other things as well. For instance, we have a weekly Sunday morning walk that's your opportunity to talk about films and life as you get a little exercise and plan some events for the group.
And we almost all love an opportunity to go out to eat together. Perhaps you'll have a sighting of Mama Mango. We don't know much about her, and we are just starting to grow the legend. We'll post details on or message board and photos as they come in.
We do expect our members to get involved, and not just wait for someone else to post an event.
Interested in taking the lead? Drop the organizer a line. It's a big county, and we'd love to see more stuff happening at different locations.
Please visit this site regularly to participate. Check out the Calendar link (on the left) to view upcoming events and use the Message Board to connect with your new friends!
IMPORTANT: Co-organizer Christine wants everyone to know that families are welcome at our events. Please observe the film ratings; no small kids at R-rated features, for example.
DISCLAIMER: Re-animated humans and zombies should generally be left at home, even if they are members of the family. This rule also applies to compound humans created from spare parts. Cybernetic organisms and androids are welcome as long as they're not too heavily armed and have been equipped with an easily-accessible "off" switch.
See you at the movies!
Your humble organizers.
