    -:) It would be good to see the building back in use somehow, but is it too much to wish for that, when the ambitious redevelopment plans for the Greengate area materialise (if ever), this might have a role as some sort of licensed premises again? The same goes for the pubs still standing (but long closed) on Chapel Street itself- including the burnt out Ye Olde Nelson, the bricked up Peel Park and others.

    It's not impossible they might all be revived, if the regeneration of the area continues. I also hope they don't demolish them, and that, if possible, they continue to be if not a pub, then at least some kind of community centre type place. That stretch of road is already quite well-served for pubs and gig and event venues, but let's hope there's room for more (commercially speaking).
