IKEA has again invited us to their annual Crayfish Party at the Warrington store on Thursday 1st August. Over 25 of us went last year and had a great time.
If you’ve never been to a Crayfish Party, here’s a little information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crayfish_party
They close their restaurant from normal service to hold the party and decorate it for the evening.
On arrival:- Welcome drink of either non-alcoholic sparkling pear drink or a small shot of Snaps
Starters:- Various types of herrings, complimented by fresh dill, lemon, shrimps and egg topped with cod roe, whole cold water shrimps, gravadlax and mustard dill sauce, crisp bread, Swedish cheese, fresh sald.
Main course:- Jumbo crayfish, warm meatballs, lingonberry jam, warm new minted potatoes, mini cheese and dill pie.
Dessert:- Fresh strawberries with pancakes and cream, Chocolate Krokant cake & warm Summer rhubarb crumble.
The normal price is £9.50, but they’re offering it to us at £6.95 for adults and £4.50 for children 12 years and under. Under 4s eat free.
As last year, there will be a tear of slip with the ticket which entitles the holder to a 15% discount in the Swedish Food Market from 1st August to 31st August inclusive.
IKEA have asked if you could pay beforehand, so we can get a reduced rate and also sit together. You can pay via PayPal on the website or pay me directly via PayPal ([masked]).
See you there!
