Lucia celebration and julbord at Ikea!

  • December 11, 2013 · 5:30 PM

Now we finally have the chance to see a "luciatåg" (St. Lucia procession)! You can read about the tradition here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Lucy%27s_Day

The event starts at 6 pm but I suggest that we meet up a little before that. Ikea needs to know the numbers at least a couple of days before the event, so that they'll reserve a table for us. I don't know how popular this will be, so please rsvp early as I then can give them approximately numbers.

I don't have a smart phone so I won't see new comments on here for much longer as I'm about to set off soon. If anyone wants to get in touch, my phone number is 07977987897. See you tonight!

This might be a bit of a silly question, but where exactly in IKEA is the julbord? I'm going to loiter around for a while once I've finished college so I'm hoping there's pretty obvious signposting and I'll be able to figure it out! :-)

It'll be in the restaurant part. Just ask a member if staff. :-)

Hi, I am wondering, would it be ok if I bring one friend with me tonight? Coz he couldn't decide earlier due to his work.
I hope it wouldn't cause you too much trouble.
Thanks a lot. and looking forward to seeing all of you tonight!

If the event area is open we can meet there, otherwise just outside of it. I'll bring the Swedish flag so you can localise us. :-)

Hej! I was just wondering - is this only open to members of this group or can anyone attend since it's a store event? I'm a little nervous about these meetups, but since it's so nearby to where I live I think it'd be good to go! (Sorry for the English! Min svenska är inte så bra)

I would like to, but sadly I'm busy that evening. Thank you for the offer though! :)
Honestly the only thing that worries me is that I'm only just 18, so I'm a little bit younger than most of the group members (from what I can tell). Hopefully that won't be too much of a hinderance...?

Your age doesn't matter at all, we often embrace our more childish sides anyway. :-) Looking forward to meeting you!

Sadly, won't be able to make it. Bought tickets ages ago to see "War Horse" at The Lowry. Hope you all have a great night!
