For years I was an alto... for some reason, and almost exclusively in circle, I've become something of a soprano. I write, I paint, I sing. This group means the world to me.
This is an informal group. We do not have a lot of rules--simply to not wear scents and to be respectful of our purpose, which is, quite simply again, to sing. There is no attendance rule. You may show up when it's convenient, and leave when you need to. We do not sit and talk about intimate issues or complain about things. We sing. We offer positive energy and humor to one another. We try out harmonies without fear, or sometimes anyone may choose to simply listen and feel/hear the beauty and power of women singing together. I think it is the least stressful ongoing group activity I've ever been a part of. Furthermore, it meets YEAR ROUND. We do not stop over the summer. In fact, our group seems to GROW this time of year. We have women who bring a daughter or two. We have women who show up only during particular months. And people like me, with physical considerations, can leave without feeling conspicuous or out of place. It is wonderful. COME!!!!

Thanks for the welcome, Jeannette. I'm looking forward to the music and the kindred spiritedness :-)
Hello Jeannette,
I missed this week's circle (hubby is home on vacation and we've been busy). I look forward to Thursday evenings all week! It's so much fun to see everybody and I've amazed myself a few times by actually knowing all of the words to some songs. I love it when we sing beautifully and even more when we goof up a bit. This is an incredible group and I'm so glad my friend Joan invited me along last fall. I look forward to seeing you and singing with you soon!
