November Mixer and Games

Da jia hao!  I know everyone's been pretty busy this fall, and with all the holidays coming up its hard to keep up.  For any who are interested, lets try to squeak in a meetup this November!  We took a break from games last month, but I think its time to bring back an old favorite of mine, called "lang2ren2 you2xi4", or "the werewolf game."  The game is essentially the same as a popular party game called Mafia with a few different twists (and played entirely in Mandarin).  I will explain all the rules before we play, and I will also post a vocab list to the meetup site in a few days.  After a few rounds, we can choose to keep playing, or just break off and chat like normal.  All materials will be provided, just bring yourself and your freshly oiled Mandarin!

LOGISTICS: This meetup will start at 7:00 and we will have 20 min or so of mingling and chatting. Instructions and team forming will begin promptly at 7:30.  Latecomers can join in progress but there could be a small learning curve!

ONE DRINK MINIMUM: To keep everyone happy to see us, all members should order at least one drink or one food item.  This is pretty key.  And do it right when you get there, since you might forget since the games can get quite boisterous.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me directly!

Oh yeah, and try to keep your RSVPs up to date so I know how many people will be there.

Hope to see you there! I've set a guest limit so if you want in, please RSVP.

Is anyone gonna drive from south bay? I need carpool(or I can drive) to minimize the traffic. I am from Mountain View. Thanks!

send me an email at [masked] and I will tell you how to get to my place. My experience says that we should meet about 5:30 if we want to be there 7pm. Traffis is horrible.

I really want to go. But why you set 7:00 pm? It's too late. Is possible to set our meetup time to weekend? I am a publishing professional, maybe we can do something to improve Chinese learning. Qing

Hi, I teach high school Mandarin and also develop multimedia learning games. If any is interested to try them let me know.

If you can play the games on an iPhone, I am interested. See you tomorrow night, Gingerina.
