About us
Dajia Hao!
Come get your Mandarin on with our super cool Mandarin Mixer Meetup. We have been around for about 10 years now and are the largest Chinese language Meetup in San Francisco. We hold a variety of social events that promote speaking Mandarin, meeting and mingling with new people. Here is what to expect:
- Mostly a Mandarin-only atmosphere (occasionally we hold "Mandarin optional" events, so keep an eye out for that if you don't have the skills yet to hold a conversation)
- More than half our attendees are Chinese native speakers, the others are advanced or intermediate, and some are beginners. ALL levels are welcome, and people are super patient with learners.
- Our main monthly Meetup is the first Wednesday of the month. We meet at a large venue and people mingle, speak in Mandarin and sip cocktails. These events usually have around 65 people show up, are Mandarin only events, and are super fun and social. We stay on our feet to promote mingling.
- Every other month or so we hold smaller sit-down events, such as lunch/dinner, a trivia night in Mandarin, karaoke or other events that promote socializing in Mandarin in smaller groups.
Do you have an idea you would like to share? Please let me know. I also welcome any assistant organizers who can add variety to our calendar.
Xiexie,
Rachel
