Postcard Swap

  • February 3, 2014 · 1:00 PM

I love mail (bills and junk do not count!) For this swap you will make 5 postcards and mail them directly to the recipients. (You will have to buy a postage stamp for each card.) In return, you will find 5 postcards in your own mailbox. Think of it as a slightly bigger ATC Swap!

Postcard Swap by Mail!

The theme is your choice!

Anything goes but since the due date is near Valentine's Day you can use that inspiration  also.

Use stamps, paint, paper, drawings, magazine pictures, washi tape, photos etc but no dimensional embellishments.

You will need to make 5 Postcards. You will receive 5 cards in return.

There will be no meeting. You make 'em. You send 'em. You receive 'em.

Due date to put them in the mail is February 3. Sign up on the RSVP list and email me your mailing address. I will email you 5 addresses around January 25. You can start making your postcards now and you can mail them as soon as you get the email with addresses from me but you need to mail them no later than February 3.

Please upload photos to the website of cards you receive and/or make so we can all enjoy them.

Please only sign up if you believe you will have time to participate. Last minute dropouts will leave some people with empty mailboxes!

Size can range from 3 inches by 5 inches to 4 inches by 6 inches.

The postcard needs to be of heavy cardstock comparable to a commercial postcard.

Decorate one side. The other side can be decorated or not but will be for the recipient's address.

No dimensional embellishments. This needs to go through the postal system.

Diecuts and other paper can be applied with careful gluing and/or a layer of gel medium (or similar) to glue everything down.

Each card can be different or the same.

Please, sign the card on the address side.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
