This group is strictly (and, I cannot emphasize this enough, strictly) for single people age 25-39 who live in Manhattan. (NOTE: NJ is NOT Manhattan!)

I created this group because, like many single professionals who live and work in the greatest city in the world, I am sick of meeting people at "Manhattan" singles events who live in Hoboken, Bushwick, Long Island, Astoria, etc.  We know you just "don't understand" why we aren't interested in dating you. If you are offended by this remark, then this group is NOT for you.

You live in NJ, but work in the city? NO, sorry. You live in Brooklyn, but it's only 1 stop on the train? NO, sorry. You are 22 but feel 30? NO, sorry. You are 43, but feel 25? NO, sorry. I am not a snob. This is just a group for people who live in Manhattan, are single, under 40, and want to meet other people who, like them, have no desire to meet anyone who lives anywhere that requires traveling across water, bridges, tunnels, taxis, ferries, or cars. That's it. Plain and simple.

Please note that residency in Manhattan is strictly enforced for this MeetUp group. You will be BANNED from the group if you register and do not live in Manhattan. If you don't live in Manhattan, we don't expect you to understand. Those who DO, "get it"... Let's see how many members we get, so we can start having some true Manhattan singles events!!!
