The Marin Film & Foodies is a group of like-minded men and women who enjoy a wide variety of movies. Whenever possible, we try to match the ethnic cuisine of the film, but otherwise the goal is just to share a good meal and conversation before or after a movie.

We primarily watch movies in Marin County. We regularly patronize the Rafael Film Center, but also visit mainstream cinemas and other local venues. Very rarely we will venture outside Marin and go to a specialty cinema in the East Bay, San Francisco, or Sonoma County. Group events can also include attending film appreciation workshops, lectures, film festivals, film nights in the parks, and Oscar Night parties!

Any member of this MeetUp can set up an event! It's easy, and allows you to create events close to where you live, and to focus on your particular taste in film and food. You can also set a limit on the number of participants, in case you don't want to have to manage a large crowd.

You do not need to be a film expert to participate. Our discussions are completely informal and all viewpoints/opinions are welcomed.

A one-time membership fee of $5.00 is due at the first meetup you attend to pay for the monthly fees that Meetup charges organizers of groups to keep the website up, running, and ad-free!
