April here from the Marin County Bicycle Coalition (MCBC) We need some Course Marshalls for a ride on July 28th. Super fun, pretty chill, and you're sure to meet a lot of great people!
The 2nd ride in the Locust Series- is a mountain bike ride that will start in Fairfax, visit the 680 Trail, Big Rock, White's Hill, and Tamarancho.
Course Marshals are placed in strategic locations, where a turn could be easily missed or the chance of user conflict is high. You'll be directing riders to the course and talking with fellow trail users letting them know about the group.
The following locations still need a Course Marshal:
Top of Big Rock Trail at FR
West end of 680 at Loma Alta/Smith FR
Top of White Hill Trail
Base of Porcupine
Top of Porcupine
Intersection of White Hill FR and B-17 extension
West end of Wagon Wheel (TBD)
East end of Wagon Wheel (TBD)
After the ride, we'll all meet back at the Gestault Haus for brews, food, and tales from the trails!
Can't ride, but still want to help? We are also seeking SAG Volunteers. You'll need a car or truck that can haul a bike or two.
MCBC is also giving bike bells away and we could always use more help with that.
