Marine Cleanup Initiative Inc (MCII) is a 501c3 not-for-profit environment group of scuba diver volunteers that have for the last 12 years removed over 300,000 pounds of marine debris for inlets and the Indian River Lagoon, release and save trapped aquatic critters and on occassions participate with TEAMFRAPPER to remove LionFish to lessen the impact of their invasion. We invite divers, deckhands, helpers, small boat owners, kayakers, SUP'ers and any interested party to join us in diving places where others are prohibited all while making a difference in water quality, reef quality and the quality of life of our marine critters. Let your next dive be the most meaningful all while working with others also out to save our waters.
I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
