Hear about MarkLogic 8 and see how to build a web app!

We'd love you to join us to toast the opening of our new London HQ!!    Preview MarkLogic 8 and see Solutions Specialist Florent Georges quickly build an app, then we'll open the floor for an ask the experts panel.

What to expect from the session:

David Gorbet, MarkLogic's VP of Engineering is over from San Carlos HQ and will take you through the features of MarkLogic 8.

Florent Georges will show you how to get up and running using MarkLogic's Enterprise NoSQL database – using tools like MLCP and Roxy, and the built-in App Builder. He'll grab some XML, pepper it with geospatial data, and show how you can create faceted search quickly. Then he'll kick it up a notch with linked open data from DBpedia and some semantics — to really impress your boss — and your boss' boss.

What do you want to know? They'll be experts from all areas of MarkLogic on hand to answer your specific questions!

One final thing, there will of course be beer and pizza!

I am doing City Modelling and want to decide whether Mongo or marklogic is the best database to support CityGML and GML3

Got to be MarkLogic! Native XML support and advanced geospatial search built in. No brainer. I'll be working with GML layers during September I think (Master Map et al).

Pity about the lack of Python interface. We are living in the Post PC Post Java world.

Feel free to create one! I've personally created REST API wrappers in JavaScript (Node.js and web browser), C#.NET, and started a project for a C++ one. There's also others out there in other languages. Probably about 20 hours effort for basic functionality and authentication.

Damn demo effect, simply forgot to select the age index on the big analysis page, which did not cope with the "cheat sheet" query I made earlier :-) It was great to talk to you on Thu., hope to see you again next time...
