Boat Tryout Day

It's finally time to hit the water! Get ready for the summer season at our annual paddling event, great for beginners and advanced paddlers.

If you are interested in buying a Kayak, but unsure which one, don't miss the opportunity to test paddle our boats and compare different styles, side by side, to find the best one for you.  We will provide paddles and PFDs.  So come to our boat tryout on Friday, May 30th between 2p.m. and 8p.m. at YMCA Camp Ockanickon in Medford.  We have a variety of recreational kayaks that you may try. There is no charge.  Staff will be available to answer your questions.

This is part of our Paddle Sports Weekend, May 30 - June 1, at our LLBean Store in the Promenade Shopping Center, Route 73 S., Marlton, NJ.   Learn something new with free clinics, lessons and helpful product demonstrations in our store.  Bring the kids along for fun games and activities.

If you have questions, please contact the store at:[masked], ext 3.

It was great to work with Marsha, Kayla, Briana, and Adam today! I wish more potential kayakers had been able to come out, but what a beautiful day to go paddling. No one tried the SUP boards as we had hoped, but those who came for the kayaks went away with a new understanding of the different kayaks and better prepared in selecting the one to buy.

Based on the description, I read it as anytime between 2 to 8 and not necessarily required to stay the entire time. I plan to get there only after 5pm. I can't make it for the full duration.

Any time between 2 and 8 Eric. Just leave enough time to try the kayaks you are interested in.

I am looking for a fishing Kayak(fresh water), that is stable enough so that I can move around without tipping. Do you have any that would work? If so can you bring to the lake?n Thank! Dan

Hi Dan! We have the boats at the lake that are used in making up our angler kayaks. The only difference is that the ones at the lake do not have the fishing accessories on them, but are otherwise the exact kayaks. They are stable and we have had many fishermen say they love them. So come on out and give 'em a try! We'll talk more about them when you get there.
