Any MEMBER who participates in this Work Day for the Potomac Conservancy volunteer opportunity receives unlimited free hikes with The Mid-Atlantic Hiking Group (Regular 2 dollar events only please) for the next 30 days from the date of volunteering. This is offered as a token of my personal appreciation for you helping us take care of some of the trails and areas we frequent! You must let me know you attended the event afterward to receive your month of free hikes or I will not know if you attended or not...

Canal Stewards Cleanup Day at Fletchers Cove
Sunday, March 17, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon)
"Help the Conservancy clean up Fletcher's Cove in the C&O Canal National Historical Park! This cleanup is open to all ages, and we'll provide all the necessary supplies - just bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and casual clothing! This event is part of the National Park Service's Canal Stewards program, engaging volunteers to become long-term caretakers of a site within the C & O Canal National Historical Park. Typical activities include picking up trash, pruning vegetation, or repairing the towpath and trails and trail maintenance activities. We hope to see you there!
