Easy 3-3.5 Miles: Schooley Mill Woodland and Meadow Trails!
Schooley Mill Park offers a variety of habitats including woodlands, wetlands, a sediment pond, secondary growth areas, and meadows. The meadows are maintained in a natural state to provide food, cover, and nest sites for wildlife. Lots of lush shrubbery for bird habitat and underbrush along the trail for small mammals.
Half the loop is thru woodlands on crushed rock/dirt trails, and other half is thru meadow/grasslands on mowed grass trails.

@Bonnie, parts of this hikes are on well worn paths through the woods while the rest is throughout beautiful "carriage" trails in a meadow. With the rain we have had every day this week I am not so sure about the street shoes. But there are no stream crossings so some mud would be the reason to wear sneakers. Not even certain there will be mud, but just saying.... If you have a sense of adventure, then come on out!!

Hi, does anybody happen to know if we will be treading water on this hike? Signed up for this hike last minute and don't have sneakers with me. Trying to decide if I should buy a pair of sneakers or regular street shoes would do? Thank you!
