Introduction

I'm a plein air painter who enjoys the outdoors and has always had a wander lust. Would love to meet new people and explore new areas.

How did you discover this meetup?

I belong to other meetup groups so I just explored "Hiking".

What are you looking for out of this group? (walks, transition from walking to hiking, easy, moderate, or strenuous hikes, ultra hiking, or trail maintenance work?) Please state all that applies to help me plan activities to meet your needs...

I want to progress from moderate to more strenuous hikes.

What Edward Cooper is saying about this Meetup Group

Really like the wide variety of hiking experiences and times available.

  • Hi Edward,
I am also an artist. I just bought a easel and hope to start painting. I'm really a folk artist but I do everything art. Anyway I'm happy that you have joined us!
See you at The Tom Seleck's Mustache/ Hawiian Shirt Paddle Day!

  • Hi Ed,
Welcome to Washington Kayak Club. The Santee is a great kayak and should do very well on most meetups (some meetups may require a sea kayak over 14' in length). Hope you can join us on one of the fall colors paddles. Let us know how we can help you.

  • Hello, Ed! I believe I've met you once before - are you also a member of MAPAPA? I think I met you at a Paint Annapolis event many years ago. Thanks for joining this group - it's brand new, and is slow to get going, because it's so early in the season. I've got some discussions going on the Message board about when and where people would like to go out - please join in. And if you have any ideas, or just want to go out on a nice day, drop me an email at [masked]. Welcome!
